Conservative Super PAC Congressional Leadership Fund has reserved $1.6 million in television air time in the Philadelphia media market for political advertisement relating to this fall’s campaign. It has been described as an initial investment to counteract ads to be run by liberal interest groups like the unions and other left leaning organizations according to CLF leadership. The group supports center right majority candidates and is thought to have strong interest in the Bucks County seat being defended by Republican Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick.
With major amounts of money already being deposited to buy air time in both the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh markets, it is shaping up to be a final 6-8 weeks packed full of political ads. This is even before any large reporting of candidates spending their own money on TV.
